HarperCollins, 2022.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"other-resources\"><strong>Other Resources<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhbs.com\/fauna-of-arabia-volume-25-book\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Atlas of the Breeding Birds of Arabia <\/a>by Mike Jennings  documents the distribution and status of breeding birds in the Arabian Peninsula surveyed between 1984-2009. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ebird.org\/region\/QA?yr=all\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EBird<\/a> provides a useful account of birds seen in Qatar, which includes a month-by-month bar chart of species occurrences. Registered users (membership is free) can upload their own observations and receive bespoke alerts of birds reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xeno-canto.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Xeno-Canto<\/a> is a global database of searchable and downloadable bird sounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ornithological-societies\"><strong>Ornithological Societies<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osme.org\/about-osme\/\">The <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osme.org\/about-osme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ornithological<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osme.org\/about-osme\/\"> Society of the Middle East<\/a> (OSME) encourages an interest in birds and the conservation of them and their habitats. The OSME Regional List (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.osme.org\/orl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ORL<\/a>) is the definitive list of bird species occurring in the region. OSME publishes the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osme.org\/sandgrouse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sandgrouse<\/a> journal bi-annually. Birdwatchers with an interest in the birds of Qatar and the Middle East are strongly encouraged to take up membership of OSME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.birdlife.org\/middle-east\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BirdLife<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.birdlife.org\/middle-east\"> International<\/a> is a global partnership of conservation organisations that strives works towards the sustainable  use of natural resources,  global biodiversity and the conservation of birds and their environment.
